Inside our furnished tents Elm, Oak, Ash & Furnished stargazer you can sleep 5 people. They each have a luxury double or king-size double bed, a double futon sofa bed, and a single futon! Bedding is supplied in these tents. The main bed will be made up, ready to use and the bedding for the futons will be inside a box or vintage suitcase. Just pop the bottom sheet supplied on the futons and hey presto!
They are all furnished differently but they’re all equally equipped with everything you need to enjoy your luxury camping experience. As well as having a kettle in your tent the communal kitchen is well equipped. Our communal camp kitchen has everything you need to make a 3-course meal. Each of our Lotus glamping tents has its own fridge. You are welcome to take things back to your tent to use but please just remember to wash up & put them back when finished with it. Please remember to keep things clean and tidy for other people!
We provide wood, kindling and firelighters to get started. You can purchase more onsite.
Yes, all our tents have electricity. Even our BYOB tents!
NO! you will need to Bring futons, roll mats, or airbeds!
And of course sleeping bags or duvets and pillows to make it as comfortable as you like!
Yes, every tent has its own fire pit outside with a BBQ tripod stand.
The Rat Catchers is the closest restaurant. Only a 20 minute walk away or 3 a minute drive! The Bell Inn in Cawston is a 5-minute drive away, it is has a lovely beer garden and a BIG menu so great for the kids.

The closest shop for essentials is a small Cost Cutter in Cawston in the next village only an 8-minute drive away or there is the Co-operative Food in Reepham only a 10-minute drive away if you are after more options. Lots of organic, vegetarian & vegan options there. If you are after a bigger shop, then there is a Tesco in Aylsham which is a 15-minute drive away.
Cawston is our neighboring village and is very small but does have a Cost Cutter for all the essentials & a nice little deli/cafe called ‘All things nice’. If you want a nice little pub, then there is The Bell Inn. A big menu and a lovely beer garden!
Reepham is the closest town, still quite small but has a Spar, Di’s Pantry and has lots of other nice little shops. There are two pubs, Right in the market place is The Kings Arms which is great and a bit further out of town is The Crown. Also in the marketplace is the Dial House which I a great place to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Horsford has a slightly bigger Co-op, a great Indian called Spice of India, a Chinese, and a good fish and chips shop!
Aylsham is a slightly bigger town with a big Tesco, a Budgens, a Co-op and a good choice of Fruit & Veg and Butchers.

Check-in is from 3 pm. If you haven’t already heard from us by arrival day please text or call us on 07801 051 792. You can always send us a text or give us a ring if you have any questions or any problems.
Check out is anytime before 10 am on departure day. Please use rubbish bins, finish your washing up and make sure things are back where you found them before leaving.
Please strip the beds used and bag up the sheets in the bags provided leaving the waterproof cover on.
Free parking is available for all our guests in our gravel car park.
All children are the responsibility of their parents /carers and must be under supervision at all times.
Moat Island is a relaxed, family-friendly & peaceful luxury campsite. Somewhere to get away and enjoy the great outdoors, natural surroundings, and wildlife. We hope that you enjoy the natural environment as much as we do and with that in mind, we ask that you please consider the following:
Leave no trace on the land and use the bins provided.
No smoking inside the tents and please do not throw butts on the ground. Use fire pits and sand cigarette bins provided.
Please wash up and return any kitchen items.
Please leave our toilet block and communal kitchen clean & tidy as you found it.
Please respect other guests and be quiet after 10 pm.
NO PETS.
Please close the gates behind you.
Please walk on footpaths and not through farmers crops (including long grass).
No fireworks or sky lanterns as we have lots of horses around us.
Please do not feed the horses.
Please do not take any wood from our woodland to burn. We like to leave it to rot down for insects to enjoy and live in!
Vehicles are to be parked in the car park. Please use the wheelbarrows provided to transport your belongings from your vehicle to your tent and put back in the car park for the next guests.
